Killer Darts for venues
Set up HostMyDarts on your host device and TV
The host controls and venue screen are separate browser pages. Keep the private controls with the host and show the scoreboard to the room.
Check your equipment
Use a real dartboard and safe throwing area, a phone, tablet or laptop for the host, a TV or projector with a suitable browser, and an internet connection. A Fire Stick needs accessible mains power. Test readability from where people will watch.
Open the host controls
- Open app.hostmydarts.co.uk and sign in through Host HQ. Your venue needs active Darts access.
- Create a Killer game. Choose Quick or Classic, set the lives and missed-visit rule, and save the rules.
- Add the player names and unique board numbers. Use Auto if you want the app to select an available number.
Pair the venue TV
- Open screen.hostmydarts.co.uk in the TV browser.
- Enter the four-digit code shown on the host controls and select Pair screen.
- Check the roster and settings on both devices before starting. Keep account details and host controls off the public screen.
Rehearse corrections and recovery
Record a hit and a miss, undo a wrong tap and try the host life controls. Check the TV updates and the next thrower is correct.
If the connection drops, keep the host page open and restore the internet. Check the connection status and current game before recording another action. If an action's outcome is uncertain, check whether it was saved before repeating it. Contact Host HQ if the screens still disagree.
Pair the next game
After the game finishes, create the next game from the host controls. Even when reusing the same players, it has a new four-digit code. Enter that new code on the completed TV screen. The finished game's code will not switch the TV to a new game.
